What screen resolution should I design my web pages for?

0.   If you want your pages to look right, but you are having display issues, you need to set your browser size to the proper width. In order to determine the best width like 640x480 or 800x600 or 1024x768, it is better to use a highly popular website like yahoo that utilizes all of it's screen space.
(i.e.don't Use Google)

Next using the below pictures as a guide, please resize your browser to it's maximum width that will no display the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the browser. After you pull up your webpages for your own site and you see that it has horizontal scrollbar at the bottom, you know that your site is TOO WIDE and that users from all over the world might be seeing only the left part of your website.
