    Never, Never, use Layout view in Dreamweaver.

Always use Standard view to position your tables, contents and everything else for that matter.
 
       
0.   Never never use layout view in Dreamweaver. Always use standard view to position your tables, contents and everything else for that matter. If you use Layout VIew, you will soon grow to regret this as Dreamweaver automatically created tons and tons of code which make it almost impossible to manage.  
       
1.   Learn how to position everything using tables. Dreamweaver has great tools for adjusting tables and how contents are positioned inside of them.
